On behalf of Sutton Coldfield Ladies Gardening Club I would like to thank you most sincerely for welcoming us all to your garden and nursery on Monday
afternoon. We all had a wonderful time buying plants by the score and then your garden …….. the ‘Wow’ factor took over. We are amazed how much you have done in a relatively short time. Your love of
plants and the creative aspect was obvious to see; and to finish off with tea and delicious cakes, well ….. what more could we ask.
Sutton Coldfield Ladies Gardening Club
Your garden is beautiful and your way of receiving visitors is exemplary and professional. You`re at the top end of the garden opening game and, with some 750 UK garden visits behind me, I don`t hand out high praise to just anyone. You deserve all the success you can get for what you`ve achieved and I`ll look forward to coming back next year.
All the best
Neil, UYE Tours, Dorset
Dear Rob & Diane – many thanks on behalf of our little group for such an enjoyable visit this morning, everyone was so impressed by your garden. You managed to make it look effortless but we all know it is a real credit to your hard work and extensive knowledge of plants and their needs. I can’t wait to plant my latest acquisitions - it has got to the stage of digging up something common to plant a choicer specimen!

Dear Rob and Diane
It was lovely seeing you both again on Saturday. You gave us such a warm welcome and all your time, (not to mention those cakes!) and our visit far exceeded all our expectations. Everyone felt your garden was our favourite and the best of all the gardens we have visited in twenty-one years, as did our lovely coach driver, who has been taking people to visit gardens for years. It was just so beautiful and perfect and the nursery plants to die for, as you said Rob, we were like children with sweeties! It was quite a sight seeing all the plants being unloaded from the coach.
A very, very big thank you from us all for a truly memorable day. I hope we shall see you again.
With very best wishes,

Our afternoon visit was to Meadow Farm Garden and Nursery. This was introduced to us by Rob and Diane Cole, a lovely couple who have built up the garden and business entirely by themselves, starting from a field. The garden, on a gentle slope, was absolutely immaculate, with thought being given to co-ordinated colour arrangements. The whole garden was bursting with colour and contained some quite unusual plants. The nursery, to my mind was out of this world, large, tidy and full of many plants which were a little out of the ordinary. Our group certainly did the nursery justice, filling a large proportion of the coach’s hold. Everyone was reluctant to tear themselves away and the day passed all too quickly.

A big ‘Thank You’ for being such wonderful hosts on our visit last week. What can I say? Your garden is magnificent!!! The colours, the forms, the hidden corners, the pots, the grass ….. all perfection. What an achievement and what an inspiration to us.
You even managed to turn the rain to our advantage – I will never look at an Echinacea in quite the same way again! And last, but not least, what delicious cakes. You leave us all wondering “How do they do it?”
U3A Warwick District, Garden Group 2
Dear Rob and Diane,
Thank you so much for the welcome to your beautiful garden. We all had a wonderful visit to your garden, despite the rain, and the NGS gardens certainly ‘won out’ over even Hidcote and Kiftsgate, so I hope you take that as a massive compliment. Of course, the personal service helps massively – it’s so good to talk to the people that actually grow the plants and love their garden, and my goodness, it certainly shows with you two!
We will, of course, recommend your garden to other clubs in the North West. Good luck with your Echinaceas Rob – they are fab!

Our Gardening Group so enjoyed our visit to Meadow Farm. What a SUPERB GARDEN! Beautifully designed and so colourful. We’d love to see it in the spring.

A note to thank you both for two very successful evenings at Meadow Farm. Your garden is much more than just ‘good’, it really is one of the best in the Midlands. Your plant nursery is a tempting delight. The cakes are exceptional. Topped off with your welcoming hospitality.
Well done to you both, and many thanks for having us.

April's meeting welcomed back Rob & Diane Cole for Rob's humourous talk on summer perennials. Rob & Diane have a passion for plants and that was
clear in the way in which Rob described their care and propagation of plants and the well deserved pleasure they get when they create a new variety of a popular species. The general pictures of the
layout, colour and composition of the garden exemplified their creative enthusiasm for their 2 acres of rural bliss. With many well framed and colourful photos of individual plants to illustrate his
talk Rob showed the progression of summer through the beautiful grounds of their garden and nursery at Feckenham. One shot in particular had captured a bee ascending from a bloom - 'pure chance' Rob
called it and, as Lin mentioned in her vote of thanks, a moment worthy of submitting to the Country File photo competition. Plant names flashed by and Rob added humour to some of the formal names by
encouraging the audience to add to some of his funnier, but memorable, pronunciations.
Many plants had been brought from the nursery for sale and their well kept and healthy appearance tempted many members to go home with a new plant for the garden. Rob & Diane's Feckenham garden and nursery is open to the public by appointment only. A group visit by the club will be organised for the summer of 2015.

My husband and I were two of the SLGS group visiting Meadow Farm. We would like to say that we think you have a fabulous garden, one of the very best
we have seen anywhere. Your hospitality, and cakes, were great and the quality of your plants superb.
I thank you particularly for the small plant of Clematis addisonii which I shall treasure, having read how rare and unusual it is.
We all had a superb day and I hope you are invited back to SLGS before long.
Jackie, South Lincs Garden Society
Thank you both for such a wonderful morning at Meadow Farm. The visit has been considered one of the best we have done for many
years, quite amazing! As for the tea and cake, scrumptious.
We would all highly recommend the Rose and Crown. The food which was excellent, was served with such pleasantness from the staff, and so efficiently. Much to be recommended for any future club visits.
Malley's garden was enchanting too, and so much packed into a small space. It rounded off what was a great day out for us all.

Dear Rob and Diane,
On behalf of the Wiltshire Cottage Garden Society thank you to you both for your part in what was a super day out on 10th August. Your garden and plants were wonderful. It was so good to see so much colour and interest at what is a difficult time of the year for so many. Also, your warm welcome and introduction - it was a great way to set the scene for a memorable visit. Finally, Diane's cakes - super - some people measure visits to gardens by the quality of the refreshments! For both of you 10/10 for cakes, hospitality, nursery and garden, all superb.
Very many thanks and happy gardening.
